Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete an EDIO account and associated personal data. It applies to the EDIO website and the EDIO mobile app, operated by Ediode Electronics Private Limited.

How to delete your account

In the EDIO mobile app, you can delete your account from within the app using Delete Account.

You can also request deletion of your EDIO account and associated personal data by contacting internals.edio@gmail.com. Use this email for website accounts, or if you need help with app account deletion.

Please include:

• Your name
• The mobile number and/or email associated with your account
• A clear request to delete your account and associated personal data

We may need to verify that the request is from the account holder before taking action. We will process valid requests within the time required under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where it applies.

When your account is deleted, push notification tokens linked to it are also removed.

What we may retain

Some information may be kept where we need it to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or address a security issue, or where a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Website order records may be retained as needed for accounting, fulfilment, returns, or legal requirements.

Text messages and photos you have posted in the app's forum groups are not removed when your account is deleted. They stay in the group as part of the conversation and can still be seen by the other members of that group. You can delete your own messages at any time, so if you do not want them to remain, delete them before you delete your account.
