Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the EDIO website at edio.in and the EDIO mobile app, operated by Ediode Electronics Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our"), whose registered/operational office is NO.34, SENGUNTHAPURAM 7 TH CROSS, Karur, TAMIL NADU 639002.

"You", "your", "user", or "visitor" means any person who visits our website, purchases from us, or uses the EDIO mobile app.

By using the website, placing an order, creating an account, or using the EDIO mobile app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These Terms should be read with our Privacy Policy. Privacy and account deletion requests: internals.edio@gmail.com.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Using the EDIO website or EDIO mobile app means you accept these Terms. We may update them when our services or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms. For significant changes, we may notify you through the website, the app, or another reasonable method.

2. EDIO website and product purchases

The website is primarily an e-commerce store where you can browse and buy books and other products. Website content may change without notice.

Your use of the website and purchases from us are also governed by the following:

• Neither we nor any third parties warrant that information and materials on the website are always accurate, complete, timely, or suitable for a particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information may contain errors, and we exclude liability for those errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• Your use of information or materials on our website and product pages is at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that products, services, or information available through the website meet your requirements.
• Product availability, pricing, and descriptions may change. We may refuse, limit, or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, there is a pricing or listing error, or we reasonably suspect misuse.
• You are responsible for providing accurate name, contact, and shipping details so we can process and deliver your order.
• Website payments are processed through Zoho Payments. We are under no liability for loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from a payment being declined, including where a cardholder has exceeded a limit agreed with their bank.
• Shipping and delivery of website orders are described in our Shipping and Delivery policy.
• Cancellations, returns, and refunds for website product orders are described in our Cancellation and Refund policy.
• Unauthorised use of information we provide may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
• The website may include links to other websites for convenience. You may not create a link to our website from another website or document without our prior written consent.

3. Description of the EDIO mobile app

The EDIO mobile app is an educational and training platform for TV repair technicians. It may provide:

• Video courses
• Courses organised by TV brand and part/component
• Repair guides and educational content
• Forum groups where members can post text messages and photos: a general forum for all app users, and premium groups for customers who have bought an EDIO product
• Live event and workshop registration
• Course progress tracking

We may add, remove, or change features from time to time.

4. Educational and training purpose

The EDIO mobile app is provided for educational and training purposes. Videos, guides, and course materials are intended to help technicians learn about TV repair. They are not a guarantee of a particular repair result.

Repairing televisions and electronic equipment can involve electrical hazards, high voltages, damaged components, fire risks, or other dangers. You are responsible for following appropriate safety procedures, using suitable tools, and deciding whether a procedure is appropriate for a particular device.

To the extent permitted by law, Ediode Electronics Private Limited is not responsible for damage, injury, loss, or unsuccessful repairs resulting from attempts to follow information provided through the EDIO mobile app.

5. User accounts

Website accounts may use an email address and password. EDIO mobile app accounts may use your mobile phone number and OTP verification.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information
• Use your own contact details (email on the website; your own mobile number in the app)
• Use only one EDIO mobile app account per mobile phone number unless we expressly allow otherwise
• Keep your account, password, and OTP/login access secure
• Not share your OTP, password, or login credentials with another person
• Tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission

You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share accounts.

6. Acceptable use

You may use EDIO only for lawful purposes, including genuine purchases on the website and genuine learning in the app. You must not:

• Share, sell, rent, or transfer your account
• Share paid or restricted course content outside the app
• Copy, download, reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit our videos, guides, or other proprietary content without permission
• Scrape, crawl, automatically extract, or systematically collect content from the EDIO mobile app or website
• Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the app, website, or their security
• Attempt to bypass access controls or restrictions
• Abuse, overload, attack, or disrupt our services or infrastructure
• Impersonate another user or provide false information
• Use EDIO for unlawful purposes

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

7. Intellectual property

Website material — including design, layout, look, appearance, and graphics — is owned by or licensed to us. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with these Terms.

All EDIO mobile app content, including videos, course material, repair guides, text, graphics, images, brand/category organisation created by us, app design, software, logos, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to Ediode Electronics Private Limited unless otherwise stated.

Using EDIO does not transfer ownership of this content to you. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access and use the content for its intended purpose (shopping and information on the website; education in the app).

Trademarks on the website that are not our property, or licensed to us, are acknowledged. You may not reproduce, publish, upload, sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our proprietary content without written permission.

8. Events and workshops

Submitting a registration does not automatically guarantee attendance where an event has limited capacity. Where applicable, availability will be confirmed by us.

Registration may share your name and phone number with Edio so we can operate the event. Edio admins may see your name, phone number, and registration time for event operations.

We may cancel, postpone, reschedule, change the venue, or otherwise modify an event due to operational requirements, safety concerns, insufficient participation, technical issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will provide information about available options using the contact details associated with the registration. Any event-specific cancellation, refund, or rescheduling terms communicated at registration will also apply.

9. Push notifications

By allowing notifications in the EDIO mobile app, you agree that we may send forum-related alerts, including notifications for new forum messages and group announcements.

You can disable forum notifications in Settings. Your device operating system may also require a separate permission, and OS-level settings may still apply.

10. Forum groups

The forum works like a group chat. The general forum is open to all app users; the premium groups are open to customers who have bought an EDIO product. Text messages and photos you post in a group can be seen by the other members of that group and by the Edio team.

You are responsible for the photos and text you post in the forum. You must not:

• Post other people's personal data without permission
• Post illegal, harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate content

We may remove posts that violate these Terms. By submitting forum content, you allow us to store it and show it to the members of that group, and to use it to provide replies and support.

You can delete your own messages at any time. Messages and photos you do not delete remain in the group as part of the conversation, including after you delete your account.

Advice and information posted by other members are their own and are not checked or endorsed by Edio. Verify technical information independently before carrying out a repair.

11. Premium

Premium may unlock extra features in the EDIO mobile app, such as the premium forum groups. Premium is currently granted by Edio to customers who have bought an EDIO product. The current app does not offer self-serve in-app purchase of Premium.

We may change Premium features with reasonable notice. Contact support if you need Premium access.

12. App availability

We aim to keep the EDIO mobile app available, but we do not guarantee that:

• The app will always be available
• Every video or feature will always work without interruption
• The content will always be error-free
• The service will work on every device or network

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security updates, technical problems, or other operational reasons. The same applies, as far as reasonably needed, to website availability. Features marked "Coming soon" (including offline downloads and camera search) are not available until they ship.

13. Third-party services

We may rely on third-party services such as hosting, database, authentication, payments, SMS, push notifications, or other technical providers. This currently includes Supabase (website and app), Zoho Payments (website payments), MSG91 (app OTP/SMS), and Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (website analytics, used only with your consent). Their services may be subject to their own terms and policies. Using those services does not mean we control their independent systems.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ediode Electronics Private Limited will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or the EDIO mobile app.

This includes, where legally permitted, losses from reliance on educational content, information posted by other forum members, repair procedures, service interruptions, unauthorised account access, or errors or omissions in course or website content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under Indian law.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You materially breach these Terms
• You misuse the website, app, or their content
• You attempt to compromise security
• You share or distribute proprietary content without permission
• Your use creates a legal, security, or operational risk

You may stop using EDIO at any time.

In the EDIO mobile app, you can delete your account from within the app using Delete Account. You can also request deletion of your EDIO account and associated personal data by contacting internals.edio@gmail.com. See also our Account Deletion page. If an account is terminated, the right to access restricted content may end immediately.

16. Privacy

Your use of EDIO is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, features, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page. Your continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept them.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of use of our website, a purchase from us, the EDIO mobile app, or any engagement with us is subject to the applicable courts and legal processes in India, subject to applicable law.
